Culinary Instructor, Art Institute of Houston

Steve is a 1979 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park campus. Upon graduation, Steve moved to Houston, Texas after accepting a line cook position at The Woodlands Inn and Country Club. He held several Sous Chef positions, including The Glass Menagerie, Brennans of Houston, and Lakeside Country Club. In 1982, Steve joined the Petroleum Club of Houston, and held various positions including Chef Garde Manger, Banquet Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Executive Chef, a position that he held for three years.

He entered the club management field in 1990 as Assistant Manager of the Petroleum Club, and held similar positions at the Houston Club and Westmoreland Country Club in the years that followed. Steve accepted his first General Manager position in 1999 with Greenville Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware. In 2005, he and his family returned to Houston, Texas, where Steve served as General Manager of the Houston Racquet Club for three years.

In 2008, he joined the Art Institute of Houston as a Culinary Instructor, and returned to the University of Houston to pursue a Masters in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
