Lettie Teague is the contributing wine editor and wine columnist for Food & Wine. She was Food & Wine's Executive Wine Editor for twelve years, during which time she expanded the magazine's wine coverage to include two annual wine issues, the American Wine Awards and the Best New Restaurant Wine List awards.

Her monthly column "Wine Matters" has won the 2003 James Beard M.F.K. Fisher Distinguished Writing Award -- an award given to the single best piece of writing on food or wine of the year- and also the 2005 James Beard Magazine Column Award for the three-part series "Educating Peter".
She also writes a blog, "Over a Barrel," which appears on erobertparker.com, the website of famed wine critic Robert M. Parker, Jr. Her latest book, Educating Peter, was published by Scribner's in hardback and paperback (2007 and 2008) and she is the co-author and illustrator of Fear of Wine, published by Bantam Books in 1995 (and still in print.)
