John Ly
Executive Chef, Strata Restaurant & Bar
Chef John Ly grew up in the restaurant industry in northeast Houston. He attended college at the University of Texas, Austin where he pursued a degree in computer science. Not wanting to be stuck in an office all day, he enrolled at the Art Institute of Houston where he received his Associates in the Culinary Arts. He worked at Kiran's Restaurant, Skyline Bar & Grill at the Hilton America's as well as Perry's in Sugarland.
His new concept, Strata Restaurant & Bar delves into contemporary American cuisine and offers a diverse seasonal menu. Strata is located in the Champions area at the Vintage Park Shopping Center off of Hwy 249 and Louetta and offers an upscale casual dining atmosphere with a spacious outdoor patio.
