Frederick Frank
Winemaker, Vinifera Wine Cellars
Frederick Frank is the third generation of the Frank family managing Dr. Konstantin Frank Vinifera Wine Cellars. Fred began his studies at Cornell University School of Agriculture. He later went to Germany to study winemaking and viticulture at the Geisenheim Insitute in Germany. He received experience working for Banfi Vintners as a state sales manager for 2 years and as the managing director of their Old Brookville Vineyards for 10 years.
Fred enjoyed working with his grandfather, Konstantin, and father Willy and took over as president in 1993. He is excited to be training his son, Kyle, who hopes to continue the winery into its fourth generation of operations.
