Casey Simmons
Perry's Steakhouse & Grille, Executive Chef
Casey Simmons was born and raised in Houston , Texas . As a child he had always been drawn to the kitchen; and at the age of 18 he knew that following his dreams meant pursuing a career in the culinary arts. Casey began studying at the prestigious Art Institute of Houston. Simmons worked his way through school at Milange Catering which catered to many fine dining banquets in Houston 's Museum District.
After graduation, Casey began his career with Landry's Seafood. It was then that he found his calling for steaks and seafood. In 1999, Simmons became the Executive Chef at Arnold Palmer, Tour 18. By 2000, he had moved on to become the Executive Chef and General Manager of Nadine's at Creekwood. There he was honored with the "Gourmet Diner's Society of North America for 2001," "Restaurant of Distinction," and "The Golden Fork Award- in Recognition of Excellence in the Food Service Industry as Demonstrated in the Superior Quality of Food, Customer Service, and Hospitality." His enthusiasm to learn every aspect of the hospitality industry led him to the four star Wyndham Hotel of Houston, where he worked as the Food and Beverage Manager. In 2004, Simmons moved to Dallas , TX where he was co-owner and founder of a café-bistro, The Muse. Casey moved back to his hometown of Houston , where he held the title of Food and Beverage Director for the River Plantation Country Club. After almost a decade in the business, Casey found a perfect fit with Perry's Steakhouse and Grille where he works as the Executive Chef in their Woodlands location.
Casey feels right at home with Perry's, who is famous for their seven finger pork chop as well as their outstanding steak and seafood dishes. Perry's also hosts frequent wine dinners in which Simmons has the creative opportunity to create amazing dishes to perfectly compliment selected wines from an award winning wine list which has earned Perry's the Wine Spectator Award in 2003 and 2004. Known for going above and beyond for guests, Casey loves to create new dishes specifically designed to impress and cater to their palates. Inside the restaurant, Simmons is known for running a very tight kitchen which has been recognized as the cleanest kitchen in The Woodlands on numerous occasions by the Houston Courier, receiving zero demerits. Casey's unique style, attention to detail, and exceptional talent have earned him praise throughout the Houston area. Just recently Simmons was asked by Williams-Sonoma to join their team by teaching weekly cooking classes where he is excited to share his techniques and secrets of the trade.
