Carlos Testino brings his culinary expertise all the way from Lima, Peru to the Houston area for one special evening. His culinary goal is to develop and implement new trends in Peruvian gastronomy, building on a tradition and international cuisine, which leads the creation of new culinary concepts that will position Peruvian cuisine as one of the best worldwide. Starting out at sauté and grill stations, come a long way to owning his own restaurant, Lima Pez.

Carlos has a rich culinary education, graduating from Chef Bleu Institute, Inat & Campari Institute, and Los Andes Institute all in Lima, Peru. He then moved to Florida for a short period to graduate from the Florida Culinary Institute and Johnson & Whales University with a course in wines and cheeses to round out his knowledge of gastronomy.

Carlos is now a culinary instructor himself, teaching seafood cuisine for Alfresco Restaurant and Creative & Fusion Cuisine for Cenfotur Institute.
