Pat Sharpe holds a Master's Degree in English from the University of Texas at Austin and has been with Texas Monthly since 1974. She now supervises around 20 restaurant critics throughout the state.

Pat is a writer of a regular column for Texas Monthly entitled 'Pat's Pick' featuring the best new restaurant of the month and articles on food, including the popular annual round-up of new restaurants, 'Where To Eat Now'.

Pat is the 2006 James Beard Award Winner for Magazine Feature Writing (without recipes).
