Emily Ellyn is the Home Ec teacher you always wanted and never had! She takes the retro, remixes it and makes it rad. She urges everyone to dig through their mom's recipe boxes, dust off their pressure cookers and crock pots, and take the old and make it new through retro recipe re-do! Emily Ellyn currently divides her time between finishing her Ph.D. in Food Service Education, teaching food and beverage classes, doing consulting work and developing her Retro Rad culinary TV career after competing on The Food Network's "Next Food Network Star."

Follow her on www.EmilyEllyn.com where she is continually cooking up projects like new cooking calendar featuring recipes, cooking techniques and more!

TESTIMONIALS

"Wine and Food Week in Houston is the greatest. It brings together wonderful people, wonderful food, and naturally wonderful wine. There’s something for everyone from wine beginners to the most sophisticated palate. Every year there seems to be something new, so it’s never the same and never boring. Best of all is that laid back Texas style. Wine and Food Week is the Premier Grand Cru of wine events."

George M. Taber
Author, Judgement of Paris

"From top local and world-renown chefs to top winemakers, winery owners and wine writers, all of whom make themselves generally available for questions and autographs in addition to their tastings, cooking demonstrations, etc. This is one of the most enjoyable wine events in the country."

Denman Moody
Wine Writer

"Participating in Houston at the Wine and Food Week in The Woodlands was a great way of promoting my restaurant, a week after returning from Houston we were glad to serve a group of people that traveled to Boston and had seen us at the Grand Tasting"
