Scott Scheuerman, Executive chef of Aqua-Grill in Aruba, has been living and cooking in Aruba for 20 years which has impressed upon him the culinary and cultural perspective interweaving the Latin, Creole and multinational influences of the Caribbean with the varied regional foundations of his Native American upbringing. He has had formal culinary training at Johnson and Wales College, Providence, R.I. and the University of New Mexico.

He has held the executive position in Aruba for Divi Resorts, La Cabana Beach and Racquet Club, Royal Cabana Casino, The Mill Resort, and Iguana Joe's. He has also been the recipient of four gold medals and five silver medals in the CHA Cold and Hot Food Culinary Competitions in Aruba. Scott was an official judge at the CCF Culinary Competitions in Aruba 2000 and 2005. He has also been a featured chef on the "Cooling with Burt Wolf - A Taste of Aruba" which aired on CNN, PBS, Travel Channel and the Discovery Channel

Twenty years of cooking and living in Aruba have impressed upon me a culinary and cultural perspective interweaving the Latin, Creole, and multinational influences of the Caribbean with the varied regional foundations of my native American upbringing.
